Underdogs (Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada)

Underdogs 2609 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada   www.underdogswinnipeg.com  This location has changed hands several times over the years and so far this seems to be the best one. One of their logos is  hand with fingers crossed, apparently the owners hope that this pub makes it.  Great place to watch sports with a 30 person sit-up bar.  There are 32 large flat screen tv's through out so you don't miss a thing. They have 6-6 person pub high tables, with 4 right in the front.  In the room to the back they have Chex Table hockey game, pinball games, basketball shooting games , foosball game and a couple of other games.  They also have a caged room in the bar with a ping pong table.  As for food one thing that we tried and was very good was the Perogy Nachos:  12 cheddar potato perogies (instead of chips) covered with Bothwell Cheddar cheese, Manitoba crispy bacon, sour cream, jalapenos,, tomatoes, green onion and sauteed onions.  It was very good!!!  24 different type of beer on tap, including numerous local brews.  Service was nice, quick and friendly.  The cheddar cheese popcorn was lame we must admit. It was cold cheese cut and tossed on top of popcorn. All in all I really enjoyed Underdogs and will be back for sure.
