Scott's Bar and Grill (Edmonds, Washington, U.S.A.)

Scott's Bar and Grill, 8115 Lake Ballinger Way, Edmonds, Washington, U.S.A.  www.scottsbarandgrill.com  A great place with a reputation for having very good food.  They have a straight 12 person sip-up bar. The tables a r granite with leather wrap around chairs.  There are 2 pub height tables that each sit 10 people and you get to sit across from the person in close proximity.  13 different types of beer on tap and they are mostly local ones.  For lunch I had the Blue Maytag Salad, which has lots of blue cheese crumbles, slivered almonds, it was very fresh and good!  We had the French Onion soup with nice aged parmesan cheese.  It was excellent as well!  The kitchen is wide open so you can easily watch them cook.  There exposed 6 X 6 beams through out.  The other two thirds of the bar is for families.  There is lots of parking n front and daily specials.  I really like this place and the food is excellent!!

This place has been recently been sold and there have been a few changes on the menu. Their French Onion soup is still on the menu. I'll  be checking it out soon to update even more!

We attended Scott`s at 1230 and wanted to sit in the bar side. The Hostess said there was a 10-15 minute wait as there was only 1 server. The bar area was well over 1/2 empty. The food was not up to the same standard as it was before the sale. Their famed French Onion Soup was good but not as good as it was before. There was less cheese. The salads weren't up to the same standard. Our friends who frequent this place shared the same feelings. The bartender/ server, Johnny was excellent! We hope they solve the staffing and food issues.
