Viking Sports Bar & Grill (Shoreline, Washington, U.S.A.)

Viking Sports Bar & Grill, 14622-15 Avenue NE, Shoreline, Washington, U.S.A. 1 1/2 blocks north of the Seattle border.  I ordered a glass of wine and was told they don't have any white wine.  The bartender said they only have red wine.  When I asked what kind of red, she said it came in a box.....
She later told us they have very few requests for wine, some days they have white and other days red.  So red it was. There is a small 8 person sit-up bar that was always full when we were there.  Mostly occupied by locals and they all seemed to know each other.  10 different types of beer on tap. The bar is in 2 different parts, the main part where the sit-up bar is, has 1 pool table and 10 tv's.  There are 5 bar height tables that seat 4 and a longer table in the middle for basically watching tv and the bar.  There is a dance floor and an area for music.  The back or second area is all fun and games.  5 tv's, 2 pool tables, pinball games and other arcade games.  There are several booths as well as tables and chairs.  Happy hour runs every day from 1100 to 6 pm, $2.50 well drinks, pitchers of Rolling Rock Draft $6.00 and $4.00 appys.  They have a large appy menu.  For lunch I had the Bourbon Burger with tater tots.  The burger was good and surprisingly so were the tater tots!!  My better half had the deluxe cheese burger and it to was good.  This place is what it is, not fancy and more of a blue collar bar.

Mehe's Bar and Grill (Ocean View, Hawaii, U.S.A.)

Mehe's Bar and Grill.  98-8754 Hawaii Blvd. Hawaii, U.S.A.   Located about 45 minutes south of Kona.  There is a 12 person half circle sit-up bar.  Through out there are tables of 4 and 5 people, out side is a small balcony with a 8 person picnic table on it.  For lunch we had the special of the day which was beef stroganoff that came with a salad.  It wasn't but a bit runny though. 3 flat screen tv's and 3 types of beer on tap. They also serve hard liquor.  Different lunch specials every day.  It has a nautical theme through out. Nothing really grabbed me about this place that would make me say "I want t come back!"

Huggo's On The Rocks (Kona, Hawaii, U.S.A.)

Huggo's On The Rocks, 75-5824 Kahakai Road, Kialua Kona, Hawaii, U.S.A.  www.huggosontherocks.com  Located right beside the Royal Kona Resort right on the water.  A very cool casual place with all of the outside tables and chairs are right on the sand. It is all open air and the view is fantastic! They have a 20 plus person sit up bar that is a very popular place and by watching the poplar a lot are ones that come back time and time again. Happy hour runs 3 to 5 pm with Bud Light and Coors Light $3, wine and well drinks $4 and Mai Tai's $5.  I had the fins tacos.  Came with two tacos with 2 large pieces of fish per taco and was really good.  My better half had the Taco salad, very fresh and also really good.  In the evening they have live music and dancing.  10 different types of beer on tap.  We really enjoyed this place, can't beat the location of the atmosphere!!
