The Kill Devil Grill (Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina U.S.A.)

The Kill Devil Grill 2008 South Virginia Dare, Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina U.S.A.  www.thekilldevilgrill.com  A great little find on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  The front part is a 1939 Coleman diner, this is soooo cool!  It came down from Virginia in 1969.  The first back part was then added and later on they expanded the back again. The present owners have had it since 2001.  When you enter you are greeted by the beautiful sit-up bar that seats 15 people and is a very popular place to sit.  The restaurant area is down a few steps and takes over the back.  The Kill Devil grill is very close to the water but you can't see the ocean. They are closed every Sunday and Monday.  There are 6 different types of beer on tap, wine is 6 or 9 oz glass.  They have a good selection of wine.   Beer special is $2 Miller High Life. For food they have 4 or 5 daily food specials.   My buddy and I had the Cheese steak spring rolls, they were absolutely amazing!!!!  Our better halves had the pan seared scallops, quinoa pilaf with saffron cream, topped off with arugula.  That too was excellent.  Be prepared to wait to get in , it is that popular.  There is an area in front where you can wait, one catch you can only drink beer and wine out there.  No hard liquor allowed out front, North Carolina law. To kill time they have a pole with string and a ring attached you pull the ring back and swing it down and try to hook it on the hook part way up the pole.  I couldn't do it.   A great place and I highly recommend it, 2 thumbs up for sure!!!
