March 11, 2020
Ohana Seafood Bar & Grill 1954 South Kehei  Road, Kehei, Maui, Hawaii, USA  www.ohanaseafoodbarandgrill.com  It doesn't look like much from the front.  The odd thing is the sidewalk patio in front but it belongs to the cafe next door but they use it after 5 pm.  The have a neat but small sit-up bat but it only seats 5 people.  Sometimes they have live music.  There is a covered open air deck in front with 4 tables for 4 and 1 for 2 people.  There is a long single line sit-up bar like seating area that over looks the patio area.  Inside there are 4 booths for 4 and 2 booth for 6 and they are really cool. Across the street is Kalama and a beautiful roller hockey rink for the Maui Inline Hockey Association, who would have thought!!  The beach is next and when we were there there were surfing lessons going on. For lunch I had the Mahi Mahi tacos, you get 2 tacos each with 2 big pieces of Mahi Mahi, avocado coleslaw and aioli drizzle n top and came with house made tortilla chips and  2 kinds of salsa.  One salsa was tropical and the other was a tomato based salsa.  My better half had the Prawn Tacos.  2 tacos and 4 good sized prawns per taco with the same sides.  They were booth good and quite filling.  Ohana's claims to have the best calamari and fish tacos on the island.  They had 20 types of beer available but no draft beer. They have the longest happy hour running from 10 am to 6 pm with $3.00 Mai Tais and Bud light, Bud and Coors beer from 3pm to 6pm it is $2.00 of cocktails, $2.00 off beer, $7.00 wine and $5.00 off appys.

Burger Shack (Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii USA))

March 8, 2020
Burger Shack, 1 Ritz Carlton Drive, Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii U.S.A. Probably best to reach it by going to the D.T. Fleming Beach Park in Honaluhau Bay, parking there and walking a very short distance.  It is part of the Ritz Carlton Kapalua.  Located over looking the beach with an amazing view.  If you are looking for cheap food and drinks, this is not the place to go.  They have a nice little open area covered sit-up bar that seats 7.  The seats on the end are both swings and I have never seen that before.  We had a table for 2 over looking the beach where you can enjoy watching the ocean, surfers and swimmers. They have 4 beer on tap from Maui Brewing for $9.00 a pint.  Wine was mostly 187 ml (6.3 fl oz) and ran $14 to $19.  For lunch I had the D.T. Fleming Beach Burger, it was huge and came with yam fries.  It was quite good.  They  also have homemade ketchup! My better half had the Mahi Mahi fish tacos and she said they were very good.   It was so relaxing here and the service was very good, polite and friendly.
With the COVID-19 pandemic I don't know what the future holds.
