Boar's Head Grill and Tavern, 1 North Lincoln Street Ramp, Savannah, Georgia, USA. Located at the corner of Lincoln Street Ramp and River Street over looking the Savannah River, in a very old building oozing with character. 12 X 12 inch timbers support the ceiling with wood plank floors. It has the original brick and mortar walls inside and out. The exterior walls are 24 inches thick. The service is very good with the staff wearing long sleeved white dress shirts and black pants. The food we tried was very good and included the Capri Salad. The salad had three thick tomato slices each with thick half cut mozzarella balls on them with a balsamic dressing. Bacon wrapped BBQ large shrimp with a peach BBQ sauce, with jimca coleslaw. The bouillabaisse with local fish, shrimp scallops in a mild base with rice/ wild rice and was very very good!!! The kitchen is an open concept so you can see the cooks preparing the food. No mysteries here! The bar it self sits about 12 people and was packed the entire time that we were there. I have nothing but good things to say about the Boar's Head!!
May 3 2019 Back again! Sat up at the lovely bar for refreshments. This building was built in 1792, and the bar apparently still has ghosts! This is a very cool bar with good feel to it.
