Channel Marker Pub and Grill (Edmonds, Washington U.S.A.)
Channel Marker Pub and Grill 120 W Dayton Street, Edmonds, Washington U.S.A. Ph:425-275-9590 www.thechannelmarkernpub.com Located in a small business area very close to the Marina and Edmonds Yacht Club. They open at 11:00 am Monday to Friday and 9:00 am Saturday and sunday. They stay open late every day. You must be 21 years of age or older to enter. This is a fairly large pub. It has a large "L" Shape granite topped sit-up bar that comfortably seats 15 people. For the gamblers there is a 20 person sit-up pull tab bar. There are 12 pub high tables for 4, 15 or so tables for 4 to 6 and a few tables for 2. Game wise they have 2 pool tables, 2 digital dart boards and 4 arcade games. As for beer there are 20 different types on tap, bottled beer, wine and hard liquor available. On the menu are sandwiches, burgers and the such. They have Broasted chicken (It is hard to find Broasted chicken any more). For lunch the Broasted Chicken is 1/2 chicken and Jojo's for $12.99 and for dinner 1/2 chicken, Salad and either baked potato or Jojo's $15.99. I didn't try it this time but I will be back for sure! One of the locals advised that the Broasted Chicken is the best, you get, a wing, leg, thigh and breast. The bartender also said it was amazing too! Apparently the chicken wings are broasted too, big wings and a variety of sauces and dips! I had the Mozza sticks with marinara sauce and they were very good. On one of the walls have 10 paintings of older, various Washington State Ferry's. The Edmonds/ Kingston Ferry is with in walking distance from here (so long as you are not too lazy). There are daily food specials. I am coming back not only for the Broasted Chicken but to get a better picture of the bar. (sorry about that blurry one!)

Went back and had the Broaster Chicken, which is half chicken cut up and broasted. Very good indeed! Well worth going there just for that. My dining partner had the Taco Salad and said it too was very good!!

Old Inn Tavern (Snohomish, Washington U.S.A.)
September 14 2019
Old Inn Tavern 502-3rd Street, Snohomish, Washington U.S.A. This is reported to be the 3rd oldest bar in the State of Washington. It opened in 1898 and is a cool piece of history. You can't miss it as it is bright red on the outside! When you enter, in the middle is the large 27 person rectangular sit-up bar. The surface of the bar and tables are all lacquered split logs and are beautiful. 12 different types of beer on tap, hard liquor and wine. The prices are very reasonable too! Must be 21 years older or over to be in here. In this half of the bar there are 2 tables for 5 and in between them 2 leather living room chairs. The other half of the bar which is down a step has 2 pool tables and one ping pong table At the front end of this area, they have 4 leather living comfy chairs and a leather comfy love seat. They also have pull tabs and 7 TV's. As for darts there are 3 electronic dart boards. The bartender seemed to know everyone so I guess they are all locals. Free popcorn for the taking. You could classify this as a dive bar buy don't take that the wrong way. If you go out the side door and around to the back you will find the patio area which had a wood burning fire pit. When I was there I was invited by some locals who were very nice, to sit with them. They said the bar puts on a big food spread for Seattle Seahawks NFL games and is well worth coming for! The men's room has a 3 person trough and posters as you may expect in a men's room for non politically correct times. I thought they were fine. One of the women there said they had nice posters in the Women's room too! I didn't see any one eating and nor did I eat there so I can't tell you much about that. All in all I liked it here complete with all the neon beer signs on the walls. My partner advised it was OK but not her style and that is fine too! I love the history of this place. Definitely check this place out!!
Trails End Taphouse & Restaurant (Snohomish, Washington U.S.A.)
September 14, 2019
Trails End Taphouse & Restaurant 511 Maple Avenue Snohomish, Washington U.S.A.
They feature a square 10 person sit-up bar. With 26 different types of local Craft beer on tap I'm pretty sure you can find something you will like. Hard liquor and wine is available to. I am only talking bout the bar side and not the restaurant side. There are 6 pub high tables and chairs for 4 people as well as a couple of lower ones. There are 2 TV's. For lunch I had the Meatball sub which had 5 nice meat balls with a marinara sauce and cheese on a nice big bun. For my side I had the home made potato salad which was amazing! The sandwich was very good, but messy.....I ended up using a knife and fork to eat it. One of my dining partners had the Cob Salad with chicken and it was very big and very good. Another dining partner has the Spinach Salad with grilled chicken and it too was very good. When the bill came, it had a $5.00 service charge. When we asked about the charge, the waitress advised they get paid minimum wage and instead of raising the price of the food they add a service charge. Hmmmmm. The food prices were on the higher side in the first place. All in all we liked it here. Kids are allowed on the restaurant side.

Cabin Tavern (Shoreline, Washington U.S.A.)
Cabin Tavern 19322 Richmond Beach Drive NW, Shoreline, Washington U.S.A. This is the quirkiest, craziest pub, bar or tavern I have seen yet! As you enter the bar you notice right away nothing is level. The floor slopes like a funnel to the bar center. The left side of the bar slopes from where it attaches to the wall to the other part of the bar is about an 8 inch drop over 5 or 6 feet. The right side of the bar slopes about a 4 to 5 inch drop over 7 feet. All of the tables slope towards the bar, it is hilarious! The bartender/ waitress advised that the front part of the bar was moved in to its present place on logs back in the early 1930's and over the years the logs have rotted out, ground has settled and numerous earth quakes have caused the center of the bar to sink. There is a sign on the wall that explains some of the history. Built in 1927 and became a bar in 1933. It was patronized by hundreds of sailors coming from ships docked at Point Welles as well as tourists. As the sailors and tourists dropped off, it settled in to be well supported by the locals. It is right in a residential area and not where you would expect to find a tavern. Across the street the beach is gone and there are now houses on the water. It apparently is the 3rd bar in Washington State to get a liquor license when Prohibition ended in December 1933. They have 17 different types of beer on tap. I had a glass of wine that came in a larger than glass sized carafe and at a great price! You have be to be 21 or older to come in. The menu features, Burgers, Pulled Pork sandwiches, Taco and Caesar Salad, Quesadillas, Ruben sandwich, fish and chips, Clam Chowder and other sides. The patrons were so friendly and made you feel right at home. The bartender was amazing and friendly too! In the back part of the bar which is flatter they have a piano. Out side they have a fairly large 2 tiered patio area and parts are covered. I met an older gentleman who advised he started working at Boeing in 1965 working on the then new 747. He said he and his buddies used to come here a lot as well as the Engel's Pub in Edmonds (also my blog). We also visited others and had a great time! We met a great guy who is half owner of Leny's Bar and Grill.....We have to check it out too! We can't wait to ctheir first timome back soon!! This place is not on the main drag or on any bar area, it is worth your time checking this place out!!!
May 8,2022
Finally made it back to this cool little gem! Nothing has changed here, just as great as ever. Took family there for their first time. They loved it and in a matter of minutes you would have thought they were regulars. Dana the bartender / waitress was fantastic as usual! Kitchen did not open until 4. PM, but we had previously eaten at the Wing Dome. Great to be back!
Engel's Pub (Edmonds, Washington U.S.A.)
Engel's Pub 113-5th Ave. S, Edmonds, Washington U.S.A. www.englesbar.com A great little bar that opened in 1934 and has always been a bar. Apparently it was some where around the 8th bar in Washington State to get a licence after the end of prohibition. The main feature is the beautiful sit-up bar that runs along the left side as you enter. It has a few curves and seats 20 people. It has coat/ purse hooks all the way along under the bar. Across from the bar along the other wall is along bench with 5 tables and each of the tables has 2 chairs. In front to the right as you enter is a pub high table that seats 8 people. They have 15 different types of beer on tap, mostly craft beer. Wine and hard liquor is also served. For lunch I had the 2 tacos, and was perfect for a light lunch. My lunch partner had the Taco Salad with ground beef and it is was very good. It cost some where around $8.00. In the back there is a small room with a low roof and has a pool table and stools. There are 5 TVs through out and pull tabs too! The bartender was very friendly and the service was very good. What a great little bar! We loved it!
Haeundae Oktop Bar (Busan, South Korea)
Haeundae Oktop Bar, 28 Dalmaji-gil 62 beon-gil Jungdone Haeundae, Busan, South Korea. This bar is located on the roof of the 4 story Mipo Oceanside Hotel by Haeundae Beach, Busan. The views from here are amazing and very relaxing. Along the waters edge there is a long bar area that over looks the ocean, and seats 45 to 50 people. Oddly enough only couples can sit here. 3 of us sat there and were asked to move, we saw others being told to move as well. They have numerous other tables for 4 or more out side. The inside has 2 bars but there is no seating at the bars. A great place to watch the sunset. Don't bother sitting in side, go when it is nice out and enjoy the view. We never there but a lots of people were and the food looked good. They have 7 different types of beer on tap and numerous kinds of bottled beer. Wine is available too.
Fuzzy Navel (Busan, South Korea)

Sam Ryan's Sports Bar & Grill (Busan, South Korea)
Sam Ryan's Sports Bar & Grill 24 Haeundaebyeon-ro 298 beon-gil Haeundae-ga Pale De CZ Busan, South Korea. It is right by the promenade at Haeundae Beach in Busan. It is an American styled pub. They have a nice 7 person sit-up bar. There are 18 different types of beer on tap and 12 different bottled beer. As for wine, 2 red and 2 white. Wine is not as popular in south Korea and can be harder to find when you go out. The price is $9.00 or $12.00 USD per glass. They also have hard liquor. The menu has burgers, pizza, sandwiches, salads, steak etc. I had the grilled, ham, cheese and tomato with fries. It was good and there were a ton of fries. My lunch partner had the Double bacon cheese burger and it too was good with a mountain of fries. There are 3 nine person booths in side. There are lots of tables of 4 through out. They have 2 beer pong tables and 2 electronic dart boards. Numerous tvs through out. They have a nice big sidewalk patio area with a view of the ocean. Service is different as they just don't come and check up on you to see if you want another drink or something else. If you put your hand up they are there right away. All in all it was pretty good!
The Sparrow Pub (Seoul, South Korea)
The Sparrow Pub Dongseongong 2(1) area of Seoul, South Korea, not to far from the Busan subway station. It tried hard to be a British Styled pub but missed the mark. they didn't have any wine, so I drank Soju, a Korean distilled drink and is quite popular there. You could buy wine by the bottle starting at abut %4.00 USD a bottle....no thanks! The had various types beer available. A 1.2 liter beer ran about $6.00 USD, which is pretty good! The menu was very amusing with very poor translation in to English. Examples are: "Hot God" ( pieces)....hmmm, should be Hot Cod. "The Grass" I don't know what that is but maybe salad. "Corn Cheese" pretty sure you don't get that in an English pub. There is no sit-up bar like you would find in any English styled pub. They did have a few \Union Jacks hanging. Hey we gave the place a try.
