Amber Ox Public House (Williamsburg, Virginia U.S.A.)

Amber Ox Public House (525 Prince George Street, Williamsburg, Virginia U.S.A.  www.theamberox.com   Established in 2017 and located in a very quaint area of the city and steppes way from William and Mary University.  They have a large stretched "U" shaped sit-up bar that seats 15 people. behind the bar is the kitchen and to the right side are all the brewing vats.  They have 12 of their own in house brewed beer on tap as well as another 6 guest beer on tap. They do not carry any big brewery beer. Wine and hard liquor are available.  On the exterior side there is a large roll up garage door that opens to the covered patio area. the patio has 4 pub high tables that each seat 8 people.  In side in the bar area there are 4 pub high split log tables that seat 8 and are beautiful. For lunch 3 of us had the Turkey, Bacon & Blue sandwich on a grilled artisan sourdough bread (style) and came with fries with vinegar and salt powder.  This was an awesome sandwich!! One person in our party had the Oyster Po'boy sandwich and that too was very good!  The restaurant part is  you enter. The service was very good, friendly and helpful.  She was very proud of this place, and spent time visiting with us and making us welcome.  2 Thumbs up for sure!!
