Mike's Chili Parlor Tavern, 1447 NW Ballard Way, Seattle, Washington, U.S.A.. Located just at the north end of the Ballard Bridge on the east side. You can't miss it! What an amazing find, this is truly a little piece of History!!! A Greek guy named Mike opened this place up in 1937 and has been going strong in the same building since. It has been family run all this time and his grandson Phil and his wife run it now. I love how the big mall that went is next door could not push them out! It has a classic 9 person sit up bar. There are 40 booths for 4 long the wall and one in the corner. They have 3 pub high tables for 7. It is a small place but tons of character. There are 10 different types of beer on tap. As for wine there is 1 white and 2 res. Regular hard l liquor is available too. Beer on tap is $4 for a pint or $11 for a pitcher.Standard cans and bottles of beer are $6. Wine is $7 Happy hour is 3 to 6 pm, well drinks $3 and $1 off pints of beer and pitchers of beer. One thing you must know is it is Cash only! No credit, debit, bitcoin or cheques! All prices include the tax. Now for the food and lets start with the Chili: Big Ass Bowl (no meat) is $16.00 The Straight Big Ass Bowl (meat)is $20.00. The chili Bowl (no meat) $6 and the Straight Chili bowl (meat) is $8. You can get chili on hot-dogs, burgers, pasta, meter and steak. They have a variety of burgers running from$6.50 to $9.50. We has the Chili and it was very good! made in house and has a little zip to it but not too much, You can get it with big scoop of diced onions, shredded cheddar cheese and jalapenos. You can get Chili to go: $8 for a pint, $15 for a Quart and $55 for a gallon (cal a head to order) you must bring your own container and it also comes with diced onions, shredded cheddar cheese and jalapenos. A friend hd it and brought his slow cooker in and they filled it up! Excellent way to do it for a party! There are 5 TV's throughout with sports on. Mike's was on the Food Channel on the show "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" v I can't say enough about this place! We loved it and can't wait to come back again. You have to put this on your list of places to go when in Seattle, you won't be disappointed.
