Charlie Clark's Steakhouse (Pinetop, Arizona U.S.A.)
Charlie Clark's Steakhouse 1701 E White Mountain Blvd., Pinetop, Arizona U.S.A. www.charlieclarks.com The 5th oldest steakhouse in Arizona and the oldest one in the White Mountains. It originally started in the days of Prohibition, when the put 2 log cabins together. It served as a cafe and when Prohibition kept on going and was sold in 1938 to Charlie Clark and thus it began its life. Our friends brought us here for lunch, and a great cal it was. There is a cool 14 sit-up bar as you enter. 12 different types of beer on tap. Always a busy place. There are several pub high tables and chairs along the left side. There are caricatures of various patrons throughout the years on the walls. On the left there is a covered patio style area with heaters for the winter months. For lunch I had the "Cowboy chicken Sandwich: Grilled chicken, cheese, bacon and BBQ sauce on sesame seed bun" One of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever eaten! My lunch partner had, "Santa Fe Chicken Salad: Grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, corn, black beans, shredded cheddar, black olives, tortilla strip, and onions with chipolte ranch dressing" It too was very good. There is a pool table and a few TV's. We really enjoyed it here!!
