Old Inn Tavern (Snohomish, Washington U.S.A.)
September 14 2019
Old Inn Tavern 502-3rd Street, Snohomish, Washington U.S.A. This is reported to be the 3rd oldest bar in the State of Washington. It opened in 1898 and is a cool piece of history. You can't miss it as it is bright red on the outside! When you enter, in the middle is the large 27 person rectangular sit-up bar. The surface of the bar and tables are all lacquered split logs and are beautiful. 12 different types of beer on tap, hard liquor and wine. The prices are very reasonable too! Must be 21 years older or over to be in here. In this half of the bar there are 2 tables for 5 and in between them 2 leather living room chairs. The other half of the bar which is down a step has 2 pool tables and one ping pong table At the front end of this area, they have 4 leather living comfy chairs and a leather comfy love seat. They also have pull tabs and 7 TV's. As for darts there are 3 electronic dart boards. The bartender seemed to know everyone so I guess they are all locals. Free popcorn for the taking. You could classify this as a dive bar buy don't take that the wrong way. If you go out the side door and around to the back you will find the patio area which had a wood burning fire pit. When I was there I was invited by some locals who were very nice, to sit with them. They said the bar puts on a big food spread for Seattle Seahawks NFL games and is well worth coming for! The men's room has a 3 person trough and posters as you may expect in a men's room for non politically correct times. I thought they were fine. One of the women there said they had nice posters in the Women's room too! I didn't see any one eating and nor did I eat there so I can't tell you much about that. All in all I liked it here complete with all the neon beer signs on the walls. My partner advised it was OK but not her style and that is fine too! I love the history of this place. Definitely check this place out!!
