Capital Bar (Socorro, New Mexico U.S.A.)
Capital Bar, 110 Plaza Street, Socorro, New Mexico U.S.A. In 1896 it was opened by two immigrant Italian brothers to sell the wine from their winery. They later sold it to a Judge who held court in the bar and had a jail in the back. The bartender said one of the barred windows are still there. During prohibition it was a pool hall but they bootlegged booze out of there and the trap door in front is still there. When you enter through the 2 swing front doors there is a 15 person long sit-up bar on the right. That is the original bar. On the left are 4 booths for 4 and one round booth in the front corner that seats 6. All wood plank floors and one pool table. to the right there is another room that looks like it is for dancing and live music. It was busy when we were there and mostly all locals. As for food the only food they have is Pizza and chicken wings. There are 30 different kinds of beer on tap. It is also covered in a book about old bars from the south. this place was pretty darn coool. I love the history and there is more, but I can't write it all!! Hahaha!
Ermanos Craft Beer and Wine (Tuscon, Arizona U.S.A.)
January 27, 2019: Ermanos Craft Beer and Wine Bar 220 N 4th Avenue, Tuscon, Arizona U.S.A. www.ermanosbrew.com 2 brothers Eric and Mark ERMAN bought the historic Tophoy building and started this place up, using a play on their surname for the name of the bar. 4 of us went here for lunch. They have 40 different types of craft beer on tap.they have a nice curved L shape bar that seats 24 people. Behind are to large TV screens on edge that list all of their beer, which changes out often. Wednesdays are 1/2 off wine!! This is a narrow building and as you enter the bar is on the left and along the wall on the right is a long padded bench with tables for 2 and 4 and can be configured to seat a lot more together. In the back room, is another bar and that room seats 42 people and I imagine can be used for private functions and over flow when it is really busy. Out behind that is a small out door patio area. No TVs here you have to revert back to the old school thing called talking and visiting. Our first appy was the "Panko crusted Avocado slices with, poblano Jalapeno ranch" a couple never liked them and 2 of us really liked them. For lunch I had the "Mac and cheese, smoked Gouda, panko herb crust". It was pretty darn good. One of us had the "Zip burger, 7 oz Angus burger, zip onions, lettuce and mayo on brioche bun" and said it was very good. another one of our diners had the grilled chicken sandwich and it too was good. We all really liked it here and liked the food!

Kenny's Bar & Grill (Woodland, California U.S.A)
Kenny's Bar & Grill 721 East Street Woodland, California U.S.A.. It was a dark and rainy Sunday evening when we went there. Upon entering, I said we can leave if you want. But we went in and stayed. They have a beautiful "S" bar that seats 12. We got to talking to the bartender, who broke his leg in 2 places years ago in a motorcycle accident. He was awesome and filled us in on the history of this place. Opened as a bar in 1947 and has been a bar since. Previous mames were: Tip top and Out of Bounds. Kenny bought it in 1993 and has had it ever since. Described as a Local and a Biker Bar and a Dive Bar. Gangsters apparently frequented this place back in the day. They have 30 different types of beer on tap. To eat I had the chili dog and krinkle cut fries. This thing was so big, smothered in so much chili, did I say it was so big!? I ate 1/4 to 1/3 and was stuffed, no way could I eat it all. It was very very good! D had 1 chicken taco and one beef taco and said they too were very very good! The prices are very good my chilidog under $10 tacos $3 each. There is a full size shuffleboard, 2 pool tables and 8TVS. Lots of sports stuff and 49ers jerseys framed and on the walls. There is a patio area in front. Glad we camke here and tried it out!!!
Pint Pot Publichouse (Eugene, Oregon U.S.A)
Pint Pot Publichouse 165 E17 Avenue Eugene, Oregon U.S.A. Truly a great little Irish neighbourhood pub. Recommended by Travis at the Cornucopia Bar and Burgers. Very small but very cozy! The sit-up bar is semi circular and the focal point of the pub. It seats 10 comfortably. The rest of the bar makes you feel like you are in someone's home. Large selection of Irish whiskeys. 4 Irish beer on tap. 2 TVs, but that isn't why you come here. Great menu with a great selection of Irish fare. There is a patio area outside to the side and front. Bartender was awesome and engaging. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Learned a lot in here from everyone! We just loved this place!!
Cornucopia Bar & Burgers (Eugene, Oregon U.S.A.)
Cornucopia Bar & Burgers 207 E 5th Avenue Eugene, Oregon U..A. www.cornucopiaeugene.com We found this place by fluke. Where it is located, there are a lot of bars very near by. This was a Sunday night, and of all the bars this one was very busy, so in we went. It has a niice 7 person sit-up bar. There are several rooms where you can sit. Their big food items are their burgers. They hve 16 different kinds of burgers. They hve 14 different types of mostly local beer on tap. They have one beer made by a local brewery and is made exclusively for them. There is wine on tap as well as bottle wine and hard liquor. I had the Mac and Cheee which came with a big side salad. The Mac and cheese was creamy and really good, as was the slad. My dinning partner had the Chicken Taco salad which was huge and very good. Travis the bartender/ waiter was very good and friendly! He really looked after us and made us feel at home. By the way the burgers that came were big and looked awesome. For another nice touch, they have cloth napkins. About 15 feet away from the bar is the railroad track so you get to catch a passing train go by. The decor is funky and fun. They have a family side too. Loved it here!!!
