Daphnie's Bar (Edmonds, Washington U.S.A.)
Daphnie's Bar 415 1/2 Main Street Edmonds, Washington U.S.A.they have a neon sign but I have never seen it working and it is hard to see. They are open 4 pm to midnight daily. Seating and space is very limited as it is a tiny but fun little cocktail bar. The sit-up bar seats 12 people snugly, with granite bar top is a U shaped bar. The only other seating is 2 small corner booths as you enter one on the right and one on the left and they to seat 4 people very snugly. The only person working is the bartender, so you may have to wait a bit to gt your drink depending on how fancy the drinks a head of you are. There are 4 different types of beer on tap. Wine is also available. As for food the only thing that I saw regarding food was in the front window and it said, "salami and cheese". Their cocktail list have the following cocktails originating from the 1870's to 1937 and they include the following: Old Fashioned, Manhattan, Cablecar, Sidecar, Aviation Cocktail, Corps Reviver and Lion's Tail. They have their own specialty cocktail: Dez (2011 Daphnie's Bar) Gin, St. Germaine, fresh squeezed lemon juice, bubbles and lemon twist. There is back ground music, but it can get noisy with everyone having fun and talking. We met a wonderful couple who offered us seats at one of the tiny booths they were sitting at. A very cool place and we will be back fore sure. Kinda feels like you went back in time.

Old Settler Pub (Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia Canada)
Old Settler Pub 222 Cedar Avenue, Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia Canada www.oldsettlerpub.com This is a beautiful pub, it is a real log cabin building. It boasts a beautiful 12 person sit-up bar that is split wood and thick varnish. the bar kinda meanders around a bit. There is a beautiful out side patio area that is good year around with floor to ceiling unobstructed windows over looking the Miami river. This place has a great feel to it and lots of parking in front. I have been here before but not for many years, and it is even better now. As for food, we didn't eat here but you can get breakfast until 1 pm, on the menu are Salads, Burgers, nachos, fish and chips, beef dips..... you get the idea. There is a nice river rock gas fireplace in one corner. As for beer, there are 8 different types and have rotating taps. All the regular wine and hard liquor available as well. They have pull tabs for the gambler in you. I highly recommend this pub, well worth stopping in!! They have a liquor store beside too! It is walking distance to the famous resort and the beach/ waterfront area.
