Welcome to my blog about various Pubs, Taverns and Bars all over the world that "I have been to". It is about my experiences and observations. Please feel free to leave comments and suggestions!! My heart goes out to all in Maui as a result of the devastating August 2023 fires. The losses are staggering.

Longhorn Saloon (Whistler, British Columbia)
Longhorn Saloon and Grill, 4284 Mountain Square, Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. This place has a fabulous location. it is at the top end of the Whistler Village right at the bottom of the slopes where the Blackcomb Chair and the Whistler Chair lifts are. You can easily take a break from skiing and have a refreshment and a bite to eat with out leaving the slopes. They have a very large outside patio area where you can sit and watch all the skiers coming down the slopes. The bar is very large inside and very action packed in the evening!! The food is good and the service can be a bit slow in the evenings as it is sooo busy! This place transforms in to a much more lively place once the evening sets in and the skiers are off the hill.
March 2016, they have done some change on the outside by adding the very nice trellis. This area has gas heaters and a beautiful pub high fireplace with the flames at table height. It sits about 8 to 10 people. Sitting outside with the fire going having a drink and lunch does not get much better. Great for people watching. The service was very good the 2 times that I went. All the waitresses were very friendly and we were well looked after. I had the Bleu Bacon Burger and fries. It was a good big burger and the fries were very good. I could not finish all of the fires either. Just at the end of the skiing day, this place is packed as it is right at the base of two of the chair lifts. All you have to do is look at all the skis/ snow boards, that are lined up along the front. A must go when in Whistler!!
