Sand Piper Pub (White Rock, British Columbia)
Sand Piper Pub, 15595 Marine Drive, White Rock, British Columbia, Canada. It is about five minuts from the Canada/ USA border, when you are on Interstate 5 and cross in to Canada and the highway turns in to Hwy 99. Take the 8 Avenue exit west and you only have to go a couple of minutes and you are there! What a great location, it is right across the street from the beach. On a nice day you can sit an the patio in front, watch every one cruise by. You have the street, railway track and there is the Pacific Ocean, Semiahmoo Bay. White Rock has some of the best weather in the greater Vancouver area, it will clear up here well before most of the greater Vancouver area. One thing is the parking all around is pay parking and the side streets are resident only parking. I guess that is the price to pay for the beautiful setting of the Sand Piper Pub. Marine Drive is a a nice walk, and on the other side of the railway tracks is the promenade, where you can walk from the east beach to the west beach and it is all flat and paved with paving stones. The Amtrak passenger train from Seattle comes through 2 times a day. Good pub food, a cold drink and sitting here, it just doesn't get much better!!
